I am going to be making a list and checking it more than twice of Spring Native Plant Sales. If you know of any that are already planned, please let me know. I have a few scribbled down somewhere but I just learned of one that will be in mid-February.

Send me a tree-mail or post on this thread. Eventually I'll have a master list similar to the one that I had for Fall Native Plant Sales.

Thanks for your help!

Good idea, Bubbles. So far Porkpal is the only person who sent me one. But lurking around the Calendar of Events I saw that Shady had previously posted a sale and it sounds like a good one.

Question: In the Fall my list was done alphabetically by city. Would y'all prefer I do the Spring list in Date order?

I've been scribbling and last night I was marking them by date (love playing with crayons) and so far I've seen some sales in January and early February. Most of those were for fruit and nut trees, something I'm not familiar with growing, and thus didn't know it's about time to plant them.

I'll try to start the Master List tonight.

😱. Recheck my tree mail you responded to January 3. I sent five Master Gardener sales across the state for you: Waller, Pasadena, Cypress, Victoria, Hitchcock. These were listed in the Texas Gardener's Seeds magazine with directions and times. Even though they are Master Gardener sales, anyone is welcomed to their sales!

Sorry. Forgot to give you credit for helping. I really appreciate getting the info and the link you sent me. I got a lot of info from that magazine. It's sort of overwhelming.

I've already listed those sales on my scribbled list.

Do you know if I can send a treemail to myself?

Don't need any credit, just wanted you to remember those sales that were tree mailed! MG sales always have healthy plants and trees for sale.

I would love to find something similar for NPSOT as well as local garden clubs, etc. as long as they're nonprofit.

I guess I should subscribe to the magazine. It's digital, right?

I'd better stop typing on my phone and use my desktop instead. Makes it easier to copy and paste.

If you go to tree mail, the link to the Texas Gardener's Seeds will also list the garden club mtgs. around Texas ( those that ask to be included). NPSOT mtgs are also among those listed monthly.

I saw some. Gets crazy between the section on Events and the section on Meetings. Did you notice the ad for a Cobrahead? (or maybe that was geared towards me.)

Is this a weekly or monthly newsletter?

When is the one in Pasadena? I am feeling winterized and need a plant fix! I just posted 2 Houston area events to the Community Calendar.

Shady - I saw that you'd posted Urban Harvest (sounds great) in the Calendar of Events. If you did 2 more let me know so I'll add them to the Master List which I hope to copy and paste tonight. (Can one copy and paste from scribbles?) I'd start it right this very minute but I have to go pick up some mulch before someone gets here to help me with it this afternoon. Correction. He just texted and said he'll be here tomorrow instead. So I'll start the Master List now. Or in a bit. Gotta refill the thistle for the goldfinch. And find something for me to eat.

Pasadena you say? 2019 Fruit Tree and Tomato Sale on February 23 from 9 -1. See https://hcmga.tamu.edu/files/2...

Interested in Conroe or Cypress, both having fruit and nut tree sales on 1/26?
http://www.mcmga.com/category/...
https://hcmga.tamu.edu/event/2...

And don't forget this warning. Citrus may only be transported to Harris, Montgomery & Fort Bend Counties.

Because those Conroe and Cypress are in January, I really hope to get my typing going by this evening. So far I have 35 spring sales of 1 type or another (all non-profit).

FYI - I doubt if I'll put any of these in NGA's Calendar of Events unless I have spare time. (right) Anybody wanting to earn acorns can copy the info from the Master List to the Calendar. Just be sure that it hasn't already been added!

Also, some groups have club meetings that are geared around 'how to'. I've only entered Dallas area ones in the main Calendar. That's what got me thinking about this list for spring.

***CAUTION*** Before you add an event to the NGA Calendar of Events, please check to see if it's already been added! Also, if you need assistance, please shoot me a question. I'd be more than happy to help. There are some fields that are easier than they sound. Keep in mind that some info can be part of the Description rather than trying to squeeze it into the address field or some other field. Thank you from Ms.Bossy.

Alright, alright. I'm going to start creating the Master List of Spring Plant Sales. I'm going to start a new thread for it. But before I do, y'all should know that unlike the Fall Plant Sale which was by city, I'm going to list the events in date order. If there are any strong objections, please let me know and I will take them under advisement.

Some of the sales are already in the Calendar of Events. If you want to add one to the Calendar of Events, please make sure that it hasn't already been added. (Oh. I already said that.)

Thanks, y'all. I've been out and about until a little bit ago.

Larry, I've had a really hard time finding any sale in San Antonio. I don't know why. Thanks for the heads up. Who is the sponsor? Like NPSOT or Master Gardeners or you or??

This one floated by on my FB feed this morning via a relative expressing interest. You may already have it, but in case you don't, here's what it says.
