Discarded Beauty is new to our garden in 2018, Purchased as a double fan, she doubled in size and bloomed so I have hopes of using it in my applique program this year. Here's hoping it survives this weird winter we are having,

This one looked washed out to me, and I parted with it because of that.

It has multiplied very well, and bloomed well here in the 2 years I have had it. I agree it looks a bit washed out though, I would like it better with more color.

I purchased Discarded Beauty in April 2016 and was pleasantly surprised when it bloomed. It has multiplied a little and in 2018 I think I had 3 scapes.

The skinny scapes hold up the blooms and so far, I have not seen any rust.

From Left: Discarded Beauty, Zelazny, and seedlings. Discarded Beauty is registered as 44" tall and Zelazny is registered as 36" tall. In my photos they appear to be almost the same height, and are probably closer to the 36" height.

This picture shows the three way branching and buds. I am sure it did not get the 26-30 blooms.

Others have mentioned that it looks washed out and I agree, but I like the soft pastel coloring. I am wondering if this one would do better with a little more shade to enhance the coloring.
