Hi all! I purchased a Bolivian Jew plant at the beginning of last summer. Did well out on my screened-in porch and brought it in before first frost (NH, zone 5). It really started to dry out and get brown and crispy toward the roots, though the vines kept growing and kept producing green leaves toward the middle and ends of the vines. I tried to re-pot, but as I did, the vines just pretty much pulled from the soil with very little resistance. I cut everything back to soil and took a couple of healthy cuttings aside. I put those in water to root and still have the original root ball in soil in a new pot. Any tips to make this new version healthier? How long should the cuttings take to root? When should they be transplanted to the pot? Will new growth come from the existing root ball? Any help is much appreciated!!
