Yay 2019!

We have 2 cats: Noah is an 11yr old Maine Coon mix I adopted when he was 5. He's a lazy bum, there's no way to avoid saying it.



Aly is our newest addition, a 5 month old 6.5lb rescue from Walmart's driveway last October. She shows affection by biting and tackling...but has gotten much better. Her side eye game is strong.

Another cold day but I bundled up both Lily and myself for our exercise walk today. Then I met up with my friend and her dogs. Off we went for the one mile loop. After dropping her off at her house (literally around the corner from me) Lily and I kept walking for another mile. Making our exercise a total of 2 miles.

First part of our walk was nice as the sun was out and it felt good. Second half of our walk the sun was gone and I could feel the temps dropping.

At least you were able to get out there & get some good walking in Rita. Too bad the sun came at the first part of the walk instead of a flip flop scenario where you ended the walk in sun.

I try to get a decent exercise walk in most days unless the weather is simply horrible. Lily is a busy girl and really needs her walks. And for me getting some nice exercose is a good thing.

Most times I really enjoy our walks. I find it relaxing to walk with my dog. That is unless it starts to rain or the wind is too horrible.

Not a pet post but Mrs just picked up 50 lbs. of mixed birdseed and 50 lbs. of sunflower seed for our furry and feathered visitors .

I'll re introduce my crew for any newcomers...

No Mac he doesn't, on the greener side...he has the longest fangs ever though

January 28, 2019 — The Minnesota Department of Agriculture is notifying consumers of a recall of raw turkey pet food from Woody's Pet Food Deli due to Salmonella contamination.
This recall was issued after product samples collected by the MDA tested positive for Salmonella.

What's Being Recalled?
The recalled product was sold in 5-pound plastic containers labeled "Woody's Pet Food Deli Raw Free Range Turkey" and can be identified by the white date sticker on the cover of the pet food container.
The product was sold at Woody's Pet Food Deli locations in Minneapolis, St. Paul and Woodbury.
The following three lots of product are being recalled:
Woody's Pet Food Deli Raw Free Range Turkey
Use by date: 01/10/20
Woody's Pet Food Deli Raw Free Range Turkey
Use by date: 01/12/20
Woody's Pet Food Deli Raw Free Range Turkey
Use by date: 01/15/20
No other lots of Woody's Pet Food Deli products are affected by the recall.

I bought 50LB chicken feed crumbles and tossed in sunflower seeds and saw way less birds, so I bought regular birdseed
and they are all back. So guess I will give the chicken feed to my son in law since he has plenty of chickens. Guess I will have to price compare bulk bird seed prices at several places and look for the best value. I have easy access to Tractor Supply and a local feed store, I will start there first.

Here is my re-introduction for the new thread. Weasel a Rat Terrier, Skippy a poodle mix, Pearl a Pomeranian. Then the cats, gray one is Lulu and the white one is Mya.

Loving those golden eyes on a couple of the cats. Yes, I like Camille's sweeping ear tufts -- great name for her btw -- it fits!

Nera looks like a very small cat. Is she? Or is it just that we have noting to compare with?

Our birds have been ravenous too. Been trying to keep food out for them & suet cakes. I have to take all of it into shelter though when it's going to rain or else everything gets moldy FAST.

Yes Ann, Nera is rather small...only about 8 lbs and that is only because she has put on a little weight from her anxiety med.

She's adorable.
