I'm growing rosehip from seed (the plant in the background is one) and this unknown plant germinated in the same pot. Any ideas what it could be?

It looks like a rose seedling to me.

Agree with Daisy. Roses grown from seed are going to show varying characteristics.
Lucky you. I like to grow roses from seed also. Never know what you're going to get and usually 'inferior' to the parent(s) but still fun and maybe some nice surprises.

Yes, something else. Are you growing this on your deck or did you re-use potting soil? Are the leaves thicker than rose leaves? Are they alternate on the stem?
