Now the email I got from them said "2018 brought several changes - most notably was a cut back in our normal fall replant due to health and age issues. Consequently we are only offering our own present and selected past introductions for 2019." And they note that their gardens will be closed to the public. No where does it say this is their last year, only that they didn't get iris other than their own replanted.
I wish them well, and restored health. I also hope they will open again next year. They are still actively hybridizing so hope they at least go the route that Keith Keppel did and have sales of a small stock of iris.
I did order some this year from Napa - mostly to replace iris I have lost, such as Rum and Coke, Teasing Tiger and Chocolatte. I did pick up another Cherokee Blaze because it always was outstanding in bloom here.
Lilli - hope you find French Lavender. It is a very good grower and the blooms are large and sturdy.
Evelyn - Spice Trader is so much more awesome in the garden than in pictures. It really is a show off.
