Hi! I bought a monstera deliciosa plant just over 3 months ago, it was quite a small plant, but the seller told me the leaves would most likely start to form the splitting pattern within 2-3 weeks. The plant has since been doing great, it appears to be very healthy and has grown many new leaves, so I assume I am taking care of it correctly. Despite this, it still hasn't developed any split leaves. Any advice as to why this could be? Is there anything I can do to encourage the leaves to split, or was the seller just wrong about the time it would take? Thanks in advance.

Yes. The seller was wrong. It will take some time but don't worry. The new leaves WILL eventually start to split.
