Hey everyone!

I just noticed that my peperomia rosso is losing its leaves rapidly... what am I doing wrong?
It is in a bright window with up to 5 hours of sun, I water it every 1-1,5 week. Thank you!

Hello, I'm new to the community but googled what you described. Here's what I found so far:

"Massive leaf drop is usually due to a temperature change or fertilizer problem."

"My guess is that it's had too much water. Mine did that at first 'cause I over watered them. I wound up changing my soil to a mixture of 50 o/o soil, 25o/o vermiculite, 25o/o sand. They love it."

I don't know anything about this plant, just what I googled about it.

I changed the soil as well. I might have been over watering. I have 6 different types of peperomia under the same conditions and they are all beautiful. I don't get it. :D

Thank you very much for the answer and welcome to the community! Smiling

Mine started to lose it's lower leaves with high humidity...I had it in my bathroom. I wasn't sure if it was just a natural process since it was just the lower leaves but it stopped when I moved it to the living room.

It is a root-related problem. Changing the soil can cause all kinds of problems depending on how it was done. It is very easy to damage tender root hairs when removing soil. Changing the soil and pot also alters the way it needs to be watered. My educated guess is that the soil around the roots is staying too wet for too long.
