I'm relatively new to gardening, but have been doing more each year. I have a woodchuck that has been around for a few years and it's gotten to the point where he/she needs to go (or at least stay out). I understand the woman on the commercial saying "it's personal this time" in reference to squirrels. I'm installing a solid fence, but am not fooling myself thinking it will completely do the trick. Does anyone have good tips on methods I can explore? Something I can put down along the fence line, be it chemical or a device to install underneath the fence to prevent burrowing under? Trapping isn't out of the question, but hopefully a last resort.

Would love a solution, too. So far my resident woodchuck has eaten roses, Lily buds and delphinium buds. Painful!
