I just got this plant and it didn't come with any tag or any instructions so I'm not sure how to take care of it.

What kind of plant is it?

That one actually looks more like a different longiloba cultivar than the second photo. The leaves are not looking that deeply notched on the edge. There are several different types of these, 'african mask' is only one trade name for them. I actually think I have yours @VictoriaL09 in my collection, I will take a photo later today and we can compare

The first photo posted by Victoria is almost assuredly ALocasia longiloba, (AKA ALocasia grandis, Alocasia loweii, and it has several other synonyms as well). The second photo posted by Hamwild is ALocasia x amazonica, the 'Kris' plant, which is a different species. Alocasia longiloba has a straight untouched leaf edge, although it may ripple or wave. The sinus (the notch at th stop) is very wide between the auricles of the leaf (the 'ears') on longiloba as opposed to being very narrow and deep on xAmazonica. Longiloga can often have a glaucous (bluish-grey) cast to the green color; xAmazonica is a deep green, sometimes almost black.

Yeah I think they give them different trade names too that have nothing to do with their species names. Almost every one that looks like these are broadly termed 'African Mask'.

I noticed that too! I remember that one as 'African Mask' so I typed it in the database, only to find more than one called 'African Mask.' Glare

I have another cultivar (not species) of A. longiloba called 'Purple Prince' because it gets really vivid purple coloration around the veining. I have never really known in 'Polly' (which is Alocasia x amazonica I am pretty sure) is really a valid name or not but its a trade name that has stuck

This is a closeup of a leaf of Purple Prince (A. longiloba), it does;t have any serration or incised leaf margins at all but you can see the purple

This is one of my xAmazonicas (aka Polly)

This is my Alocasia sanderiana. Much more deeply incised than xAmazonicus

This is a planter with A. longiloba (aka 'lower' and 'grands') (the lighter grey-green one in back) and A. longiloba 'Purple Prince' (the rounder darker one) in front
