This was growing on an arbor in Houston. The older limbs were woody. Glossy leaves. Beautiful purple bloom.

I think it is Clytostoma callistegioides (Violet Trumpet Vine).

But it could very well be Lavender Trumpet Vine (Bignonia callistegioides)

No, I have Podranea ricasoliana (Pink Trumpet Vine), it has true pink flowers and pinnate leaves.
