I initially grew my PIngs indoors in standing water using distilled water. I was hesitant at first to bring it outdoors due to our excessively hot and dry conditions here. Then I found out they can tolerate very well our outdoors provided they are in shade, and during the hot days, it will take even our tap water, making sure I water early in the day before the dry heat becomes more intense. It enjoyed our wet winters too, so that was an eye opener for me. But my media has always been very well draining and gritty, as if I am growing a regular succulent.
The southeast window location for your plant, may be too harsh. Do you have sheer white curtains to filter it out? I never used nor added sand to my media, just cacti mix and pumice, with more pumice actually.
Pings usually have a period of time where it is more like a succulent, then a time when those leaves are sticky. So be very careful with overwatering. When grown as a succulent, it does not need to be too dry, but it needs protection from too much sun. Filtered light, part sun is better with the sun aspect ideally more on morning sun.
Sorry I do not have experience growing Utricularia.
