Greetings. I seek your wise guidance on a rose bush planted at my grandparents grave. I'm an avid gardener, but don't do roses. The bloom emerges as a pale yellow tipped in pink and progresses to magenta as it matures. It is a miniature rose and seems to do fine in Sacramento CA with what appears to be little or no care. If the rose can be identified I'd like to order one for my mother and sister. Thank you for any suggestions on the type or where to continue the search.

I can't help you with identification, but the roses are gorgeous and a perfect way to say you're not forgotten.
I love it!

There are several mins with that coloration. Can you tells us how long it's been there? A date range may help ID it.

In the mean time you might want to take some cuttings and try rooting them for your family. Most minis are own root and root fairly easily. There are lots of ways to do it on line if you do a search.

SeilMI,
Thank you for the suggestion regarding the cutting. My guess for the age is 5-9 years old. I know that isn't very exact. The trunk was quite robust in size with dozens of branches coming out of the trunk. Given that I believe it was planted by my aunt (who I don't think is a sophisticated gardener), my guess is the variety is a Home Depot special and not a rare type. Again, not very helpful, but full of gratitude for any suggestions I could follow up on.
