I can't help, but I try to stay with an organic spray when this is needed.
However, I have 10 year old day lilies that I let aphids run away with. They have been cut back twice, no luck, sprayed twice, no luck and I have been reading that I may have to cut to the ground and see about next year if they survive.
It was one of my niceties looking at these from my covered back porch every morning reading and getting my 30 minutes of sun on my feet. Rolling my eyes.

Any help before I cut them to the ground?? I have several transplants on the front of the house and they aren't affected yet, but did get sprayed.
The oddest thing is I moved my block raised bed for tomatoes last fall and would have expected this with the bed there, but why now when bed has been moved?? Go figure...early for aphids, isn't it?? And one day not there and next day totally covered.

You will have to use a dedicated nut grass (nut sedge) killer or it will spread, usually quickly.

I just got mine, I purchased it from Amazon. They also have it at Home Depot. I have not used it, so I cannot tell whether it works or not.
