I have irises that have not bloomed in 5 years. Any ideas on the problem?

Lots of possible ideas...
Overcrowded, insufficient sun, rhizome too deeply buried, iris borers, deer/groundhogs/critters in general, fungii...
Got any pictures? It'd help to be able to see the plants.
Moving from New York to the Treasure Coast leaves me feeling like a newbie in the Garden. Nevermind that I've been at it for 35 years! :P
