Hello everyone,

I bought a Chinese Evergreen (Aglaonema 'Siam Red') yesterday from a local nursery. I brought it home and repotted it and watered it until the water ran out of the bottom hole. I placed the Agla near a west facing window. Today I arrived home at noon and touched the leaves and noticed some of the tips had water droplets on them. Other leaves looked dry but when touched had some moisture around the tips.

Is my Aglaonema just really happy to see me? What's going on?

UPDATE:

After some Googling, I found the answer. The plants are transpiring (sweating out) the excess water.

When houseplant leaves develop droplets of water on their tips, it is probably just transpiration. Leaves dripping water is a natural occurrence like people sweating.
