Background history:

'Little Wart' is a dormant diploid introduced in 1964 by Spalding.

It has earned the following AHS awards:
Award of Merit: 1975
Honorable Mention: 1972
ATG: 1969

Usually a reliable mid-season but poor bloomer in my TX garden. No bloom this year but then the same was true for some others. Not located in the best spot with tree roots and too much shade. Likely better farther north.
Color is more like last picture above. It is a dark flower, not pink.
Life is better at the lake.

Funny today, this topic was for "Little Wart" and also the first bloom today, this season in my garden. Only one bloom, because I just moved the plant to another location and left this fan behind Hilarious! So it was a surprise to find, while out taking pictures today.

Little Wart, uncropped Rolling my eyes.
This one is a reliable bloomer, though, the color seems a little washed out compared to other's photos. It is an okay little flower, but not one on my list with a lot of flash and pizazz.
