pardalinum, magnolialover, Yes, this yr. I ended up seeking some new variety's.Planted these Orange Tiger Lilies & Big Brothers - ( Magazine description ) of name. Planted those around early - mid spring, Also bought two golden yellow Asian spider lilies to plant near a lamp post this past spring, I'll be waiting for those to pop up in Oct. Last yr, transplanted good amount of day lilies. What had started me on all this was monsoon like rain we have had since the beginning of last yr until this early spring, Was concern about erosion & washing our mulch down the hill & behind a drain there that gets plug up, overflows the curb behind the drains & runs down the hill. That's where I started my largest area for my Day lilies, Then I wanted few colors then this yr some variety, Thanks, Appreciate it Thumbs up

Was confused, Those Big Brother lilies were suppose be white with some yellow mixing around & in center of it's flower, First one came out light yellow all the way through, Then all the others look same way, Then - first one that had bloom to begin with lost it's pedals as it stayed light yellow, As the rest of those big brother flowers passed the half way mark on their bloom life, White started show some on outer half of these pedals, more like what that picture in my magazine look like, As it turn out, I Like all those solid light yellow flowers but sure I'll like it like magazine pic. also. These might turn out more and more like magazine pic I bought these from by next year

Some lilies (especially Aurelians) do have that tendency - they will open a solid colour and then fade from the edges of the tepals inwards as they age.

You're welcome! Some of my Aurelians also tend to fade across the entire bloom except for the throat, so that's another thing you might encounter. I can find some photos later, if you'd like.

If my Tiger Lily's survive and come back next yr. I'm going to transplant them into pots bc unlike the Big Brother Lilies that still have an healthy dark green look to the stems and leaf's, the Tiger lilies started to decline weeks ago & one or two, weeks before that, Most seem to die a very slow death but I think some of them will come back next yr. & the Aphids didn't seem to have any bad effects on the Big Brothers but on some of my Tiger lilies it kind of did seem to effect my Tiger Lily's & on other ones earlier on, It did seem to effect them, My Tiger lilies I believe gets to be about 36 - 42 inch high eventually, I had spray insecticide soap on those twice this yr, Accidentally sprayed an love bug while doing so, So again I'll keep the Big Brothers where they are now & pot the Tiger lilies next spring & use the outer edges of that octagon plant bed for my test bed, Plant seeds or any Hybrid day lily transplants that I'm unsure of or uncertain of about, concerning what the color of their blooms will be

It's normal for orientpet lilies, like Big Brother, to hold their foliage nicer looking and much later into the fall than asiatic lilies, like a tiger lily. I doubt your tiger lily is "sick" at all. But, the tiger lilies will always decline earlier than orientpets, so you may still want continue with your planned move anyway.

As I mentioned, your tigers are likely very healthy, and if it were me, I would transplant them (the dormant bulbs) now through the fall season. There will be less transplant shock.

I agree with Rick. In fact, most of my Asiatic lilies have turned brown now. First to emerge and bloom then first to die back.

Wow, that's quite a collection Anthony. I'm looking forward to your bloom photos.

My lily time is now being spent cleaning tons of seeds from chaff and also removing the old stalks to put the garden to bed for the winter.
