I happen to have both the yellow or orange daylily and just two years ago I opted from Brecks the perennial varied colored ones. It is advisable to deadhead the partially spent buds?? I will upload my flicks later.

Hey Wally! Welcome. We just had a thread on deadheading and live heading I can help you find:

The thread "Deadheading daylilies" in Daylilies forum

I think this thread is intended specifically for the cultivar Yada Yada Yella, which is one of my favorite Very Late Tets. I'd share pictures from this year's blooms, but my scapes are still building and have probably 10 days to go before they even start blooming. It's not unusual at all for Yada to still be blooming through August for me here in Northern Illinois, but this year, with so many plants running late, I imagine this one will set a new record for late blooms here.

Like most Davisson plants, Yada had big, big blooms (10 ") on sturdy scapes, and has consistently increased fans/scapes for me every year. I think Yada is just about a perfect color for the late summer, early fall transition in my garden.

I've been really trying to extend my daylily season the last three years, and Yada Yada Yella is one of the best Tet VL's I have added during that time.

YADA YADA YELLA is a great plant. I only wish it would be a little taller. It is pod and pollen fertile. I am attempted to get the big bloom size on a taller scape. I crossed it with a taller daylily that is in the same color range. It is a great addition to the late garden.
