A couple of weeks ago I purchased a Coleus Special Effects that has beautiful colors. Dark purple, deep pink, yellow and green. Within a short period of time the colored leaves fell off and I'm left with a plant that is mostly the purple color. The plant is healthy with lots of new growth but is now the dark color. Is it possible that the colors change when put in a darker area as opposed to one with more light?

This nursery calls for part shade to full sun:

I'd give it more sun but if you've had it in shade I'd gradually introduce it to the sun over a week or two or it could get sunburned. Good luck.
