I grew this from seed and was going to plant it on the edge of a new bed. Everything I read is that it is a vigorous grower. Will I be sorry and have it forever as a weed! Anyone have experience with it?

It is well behaved over here. I am not sure that I have the same cultivar, but it has not spread in several years.

Good to know! Thanks Caroline. If you had a new yard would you plant it again?

Prunella grows like a weed here, in fact I think it is a weed . This would be the wild form, if there is such a thing,it pops up in the lawn , edge of the woods, and pasture.
Maybe the cultivated form is better behaved.
..a balanced life is worth pursuit.

It is not aggressive here in zone 3,
and I think the Freelander Blue and other newer cultivars
are even less aggressive than the wild Self Heal.
