So this clematis was in a hot dry place and was here when I moved in. I've been meaning to move it. Really there are several Clems on the property that could use a better spot. Any way it usually goes dormant early . I know it didn't do much this year I don't remember if it bloomed i figured it died. I went out to clean that area and change up what was out there and went on the hunt for any remaining roots and this is what I managed to dig up. It seems alive it's firm and everything what should
I do with it? In terms of saving it

Don't give up on a clem too soon. They, sometimes, like to take a nap for year or two.
