A couple of weeks ago I asked where everyone ordered daylilies from and appreciated the feed back. I decided to try Schriener's. My order came today and I am very pleased. Large clumps with 4 to 8 divisions. Nice and green with lots of roots. I ordered 8 and thought they might send a bonus. They sent 3 and all 3 were $40 to $50 in the catalog. My helper came this morning and I had him dig the planting holes, My Son is coming when it cools down a little this evening to plant them. I got Adorable As Ever, Aphrodisiac, Bach Cantata, Band of Fire, Buntyn's Hot Diggity Dog, Spice Bomb, Sultry Spanish Eyes, and Volcanic Fireworks. Bonuses are Cameo Beauty, Mandolin, and Puerto Vallarta. I have another order coming toward the end of the month and need to get planting areas ready. I also need to figure out some good garden labels. Will also make maps..

I order Day lilies from Schreiner's too. I was very happy with the quality of the plant and I could get two plants out of the clump if I wanted too. I order 5 and got two extra's. I was surprised as we ordered the cheaper ones. Last time, I order out of Florida, it has taken me five years to get rid of the nut grass.

I talked to a friend today who had ordered daylilies from Schriener's, He was well pleased with the plants and extras but I took it from our conversation that my starts were larger. Perhaps later in the season was the reason?

its possible, could be that they had more time to grow, could be the variety. some make tiny fans so a clump of 3 fans might of his might look puny next to 3 fans of yours.
