I purchased this perennial at a highly reputable local nursery this spring Van Wilgens Nursery 06471 I was also seeking some information concerning the serious wilting leaf condition of the plant. Please Advise.

A couple of places state that although perennial, the plants may be somewhat short-lived and are sometimes grown as annuals.
