Hello all.

I went to replant my aloe and accidentally broke the top (with the leaves) off. I am left with only the roots. Is there a possibility that it will regrow new leaves or should I just toss it.

Thanks in advance :)

I couldn't bother with it, but if you were going to try anyways it couldn't hurt? It'd take months to recover.

There is a possibility that it would recover. Not a great one, admittedly, but all the parts are there. Keep it out of direct outdoor sun if you keep it.

I agree, it won't hurt to try. Aloes are tough. My bet is it wants to survive.

Thanks everyone. Unfortunately, I found it this morning with the entire root system shriveled so I could not even attempt to replant. I appreciate all your input.

Thats really too bad. I get pretty disappointed when I lose any plants!! Its not the point of buying more it that more often then not I have an emotional attachment to my plants . Rather it was a gift or it was something I propagated. So I do get very upset...
Sending positive vibes!!!

Thanks PamelaLynn77. I totally get it. This one stings a bit considering I had to travel a long way to get this plant. Well, I'll do better next time Smiling
