This is my first blog ever, so please, if I ramble, forgive! Several years ago I was given two plumeria cuttings, that grew into lovely flowering trees (Dwarf Singapore and Candy Stripe). I started "collecting" different cuttings from different colored plumerias, and I now have over 30 varieties, most have bloomed, and I have identified some, but the rest I have guessed at by perusing the various databases available. 1st, how does one really know what they have, unless it was purchased? 2nd, one of my cuttings inadvertently had a seed pod attached, and now is has popped. How do I know if I get a unique plant? I am attaching pictures of the plumerias I do not know names, so any help/advice on resources/would be appreciated. Thank you my fellow flower lovers!

You won't know for sure unless you buy her from a nurseryman. If that seed is a cross, then you have a possible Hybrid. Those flowers are so very pretty because you are doing such a good job growing them. Thank you for sharing you flowers.
NOT A EXPERT! Just a grow worm! I never met a plant I didn’t love.✌

Lovely blooms and if you don't have names I would not begin to guess, there are hundreds of different varieties and the photo of a bloom is not sufficient information to determine which it is.
A seedling is genetically unique so you will always get a new variety (which - if nice enough - you could name and register!).

Welcome! @CAPlum I really like your 3rd picture. That's a pretty Purple. Have you measured it's blooms? It "may" be the variety called "Black Purple". aka-muang-anchan

Smiling ...with the emphasis on 'MAY BE'. Smiling If you do find that a plumeria strongly resembles a named one it is best to put that name on the tag with a question mark next to it. That way you know it is not a confirmed ID.

All of your pics are very pretty and do they smell good I wonder? Your doing a good job growing and taking care of them. If you want to cross pollinate a plant on your own and keep it separate and track it til it blooms then you'll know for sure it's a hybrid you created. It may take a few to cross to get what you find acceptable. Good Luck

Thank you all for your kind responses to my pics. It's as I thought, I may never know for sure, the names of all the Plumerias I own, and I will just have to live with it! I have however created an inventory of my plants with bloom size, colors, leaf type, etc. so although I may never know, oh well! The purple flower was the one I was most enamored with, but that particular color lasted for only 3 days and then faded quickly. That was last year, and I have not seen this bloom since. I will check out your suggestion. Here in southern CA, it gets so hot, at over 100 degrees the plumies get sunburned and sometimes need water daily, so I spend a lot of time making sure everyone stays healthy and white-fly (Plumeria nemesis)free. More of my beauties attached. These I know! In order: Captivate, Dragon Tears, and Electric. Happy Sunday to you all.
