I've been following another thread about a daylily on the Lily Auction, Blame It On The Rain. Since that thread was posted, I can't get that Milli Vanilli song out of my head ("Blame it on the raaiiin that was fallin'..."). It's maddening!

It's not the only one, though. I lost my Lillian's Lying Eyes this spring, but I kept the plant label for when I replace it, so I also get that Eagles song stuck in my head. And, for some reason, She's Got The Look inserts the Prince song "U Got The Look" on a constant loop into my brain.

Am I the only one that deals with this?? Do I need therapy? Medication?? Grumbling

With something like 85000 cultivars (am I right?), almost any song or catch phrase is actually a daylily. I usually play bossa nova music while weeding, because the plants like it, but I just looked up "Girl from Ipanema", and yes there is a daylily...
So this will probably drive me crazy now too.... D'Oh!

I just received Joo-joo Eyeball, so Milli Vanilli will be taking a backseat to the Beatles for a while. Blinking

I think its human nature to sing or hum in the garden. I know I'm guilty.
You got to blame it on something so blame it on the rain, blame it on the stars, whatever you do don't put the blame on you Thumbs up

I'm giving away one of my hybridizing secrets in confessing that one song consistently plays in my head when I'm thinking about what cross to make and that song is GO BIG OR GO HOME

YCAN. There are several threads on leaf streak which is usually an early spring problem. You might be seeing natural die back of outer leaves at this time of year as the weather cools and plants start going into winter mode. Nothing is needed except for clean up of dead foliage.

Good to see Davi post here, since she's responsible for two of my earworms, and they're right outside my front porch so I see them every day.

One is Party Every Day, which puts the Kiss song in my head. The other is My Heart Goes Boom, which brings one of my favorite all time songs to mind, Solsbury Hill by Peter Gabriel. There's a part of that song:

"My heart going boom, boom, boom
"Son", he said, "grab your things, I've come to take you home"

There... now if you know the song, you'll have that earworm, too. Fortunately, it's an awesome song, and not so aggravating to have rattling around my mind.
