Hello And Happy Friday!
I have some micans cuttings that have partial, minimal roots that I started in water with rooting hormone. I've lost 3 and have 3 left. I wanted to know if propagating in damp sphagnum would produce better results and what your experience has been with these. Any help would be greatly appreciated! ☺️

I think you are doing fine. Not all cuttings live. They have roots, I say pot them up.

Well, they were potted and now I'm down to one leaf πŸ˜‘ I'm not giving up hope yet though! Jackhammering in our basement knocked it off a shelf & I'm certain that didn't help this wee one. Fingers crossed she survives! 🀞🌿🀞

Cuttings will always do better in a potting mix rather than a water solution as they take up vital nutrients instantly rather than being in low nutrient water. I have noticed that water propagation is very popular within the houseplant community, I believe this is due to its simplicity and it seems somewhat less intimidating than cuttings within compost etc. I have a seen a couple of videos on youtube showing how to take houseplant cuttings, some techniques were very interesting! I have seen some leaf cuttings too on youtube, Plantingmemories has some nice vidoes on this, worth a watch. he has Philodendron micans but im not sure if he has done a propagation video of that
