Moses in the Bulrushes, a pretty flower, but...it blooms within the leaves making it difficult to see the flowers. scape size here is 18 inches and I have not noticed any fragrance though it is listed as fragrant. Slow to increase here Zone 5a Canada. Zone 4 US. Would I purchase it knowing what I know now? No. Can't make myself get rid of it, maybe one day.

I had Moses in the Bulrushes for three or four years. It never did well in my garden. I wonder whether it can take the south Texas heat and humidity.

I've been growing MOSES IN THE BULLRUSHES for about 5 or 6 years and I detest that it blooms in the foliage. There are two reasons it sticks around: I love the bloom and the name (cracks me up). Because of the blooms being in the foliage, I never let the clump get very large. It also tends to be a late bloomer for me and I don't hybridize that late in the season, as my garden chores have changed and some pods never ripen before the first frost.
