Looks great Daisy. I have mine in a plastic hanging basket due to they always grown hanging down and not bush type like other holliday cactus. I wish I could get a similar variety that grew upright instead of hanging.

Mine's loaded with buds, but I won't have flowers for at least 2-3 more weeks. I wonder why mine starts later than so many others' plants? Differences in climate? Do you 'force' yours by putting it in the dark, or does it go into bloom mode this early naturally? Just curious.

Current bud development.

Rose,
No I didn't do anything special. My variegated 'Madame Butterfly' was in a different place than the rest of my cactus so maybe that's why it bloomed so early. I never experience this kind of blooming on it in past years. Right now it is fully void of flowers but has some buds still forming on it so maybe it will continue to give me some more booms next week or so. My yellow has buds but only one opened. Right now my red is starting to open up. Getting photos today some time.

Sen, Give it a chance to get a little bigger. I'm waiting for my other yellow to bloom to see exactly what it's flowers look like. It's a lot bigger.
Message me with address info when you get a chance and I'll mark it on my list. I have heard it's best to have a 3 segment cutting for best results. So far mine doesn't have much more than that.

Here's my red ones starting to bloom.

Wow yours are so early. Mine should start in a couple of days or so. Here in SD we can leave them outside all year long.

Aloe Tree, Nice to have to keep them outside all year. It's a big deal to bring all my plants in every year and see them downgrade for doing so. Would love to see how white your white one is! Mine just bloomed one flower and I'm lucky to get one. The red one took over the pot. When we got it, it was half and half. I am going to remove it and pot it up to grow better.

I found these at Home Depot the other day. I liked the yellow of the one, and the I thought the flower of the pink one was hilariously short.

White buds! Lime Dancer has white buds and sort of yellowish, greenish, peachish flower color. No photos yet, just buds.

But my new one, supposedly yellow but more peach, has pink buds. This color is very true to the plant.

I just bought this at Home Depot today. I read of another member in another state picking one up at their local Home Depot the other day, so I thought I should check out our HD again. Hurray!

It needed a drink and now that it's home and under my grow lights, the one flower is starting to open.

Hi Stush,

About 3-4 years ago I got this plant thinking it was white too as it was in the bud stage when I got it. Just before the blooms open the turn a pale orange. Here is a picture now. Probably just short of peak but rain starts in about 2 hours...
