I was brought up listening to Frank Sinatra. How did your house plants do this year? So far anyways. Mine did very well indeed. I have everything back inside and will have extra room and lights soon. I'm adding 2 more shelf units in the living room. Already added 10 more feet of lights in my breezeway. Everything grew a lot. Hardly lost any plants. Sold a few, gave some away. Ran around with my paint brush when the Sansevieria were blooming. I have 9 pots that have berries presently. Just got my 224th Sans. species - Mikado. Big and beautiful. 4 foot tall and 3 feet wide. I have many seedlings. Remember my thread on after dinner gardening? Date palms, Papaya trees, even some dragon fruit. New plants. Most all were on my wish list. 2 more Mangaves, I have 4 now. A small but beautiful variegated Ginger. A nice 5 foot tall Banana with pups. That makes 4 species of Bananas for me. 2 beautiful Citrus trees. They have fruit, blooms and more buds. Both 3 foot tall, 2 foot wide. 3 large Dracena Golden Heart. 2 good looking variegated Cast Iron. Not the ones with specks, the ones with white stripes. 3 foot tall. And probably the rarest of this group - 2 variegated Philo. Giganteums. Tells us about how our jungle fared this year, please. Gene

All I can say is wow! Very impressive collection Gene ~ I am certainly envious!! My plants did well this year also. Added more rescues in the form of 2 small Sanseveria Boncellensis, which were on my wish list and have now happily put out new growth. More rescues include a Rhoeo, a Begonia Gryphon, a Prince of Orange and several small dendrobiums. I recently acquired a Philodendron Micans from a local shop, as well as a Sanseveria Cylindrica & Fernwood from Ikea of all places. All are doing well.

The only one of my rescues that's hanging on by a thread is my Strawberry Begonia. Fingers crossed the adjustment phase passes! 🤞

My Monstera that I put onto an obelisk is growing like a weed and has actually put out a sprout at her base! I seriously think she heard me thinking about propagating to replant at her base and in lieu of facing the knife, she popped out a new leaf sprout. 😁

Losses? I lost a rescued fiddle leaf ficus - 6" pot - who I think was beyond rescuing, but I had to try. And I also lost a violet.

Overall a successful summer! I'm looking forward to seeing everyone else's stories! Good topic Gene! Hurray!

I just remembered. My Philo. sport that often puts out an all white leaf. I have too many of those now. Any visitor will have to leave with at least one. Anyways, one of them went nuts this summer. Must have liked its location. It is currently putting out its 6th all white leaf in a row. Not sure how it survives. You can see some of them in a thread I started some time ago: White Leaf.
