Thanks Kent. These set up house under an old Mugo years ago. So every spring I reach under there and carefully lift a few out by hand as it's too tight to work with a tool.

Yep, in the Sandhills there are many places where the aquifer reaches the land surface creating big marshes or even shallow lakes. Go a few feet higher in elevation and you have what are basically dry, grass covered, sand dunes. It's a neat landscape.
