I am offering packets of plant labels but that doesn't mean anyone will get them. I think bulbs, etc. will add to the weight. Also, they would be better off mailing in a box instead of a padded envelope I would think.

Maybe have a bulb/rhizome/whatever thread here & people put stuff like that. These would need to be sent directly to each trader I would think. Not sure how that would work.

It is seeds only.
(There is a trading forum for exchanging things like bulbs or even whole plants.)
Note that the mailing costs would be whatever the rates to your country are. The $8 rate is for a US priority mail padded envelope mailed within the US.

If I were to bid on bulbs, bulbils, or rhizomes, I wouldn't mind throwing in a few extra bucks if it were needed... but that is me.

I think it would depend on the size of the bulbs/corms/bulbils. I'm offering chickpea seeds and those are really large. Much larger than the garlic bulbils I'm also offering. I do think most rhizomes would be way too large to offer in the swap though.

Garlic bulbils are fine, because they don't get crushed in shipping. I got 2 pounds of garlic and a half pound of new bulbils this year from the packet of seed swap bulbils I scatter-sowed 2 years ago. I scattered all my new bulbils this summer, and have little garlic plants springing up all over now.
I have a bag of Royal Sunset lily bulbils in the refrigerator (chickpea size and smaller), but I doubt they would survive standard seed swap shipping.

Dunno if you've ever grown garlic bulbils before but protect those little sprouts with your life! I have not yet managed to protect mine enough even once. Soon as they're outside, something goes awry. It starts out all fine in spring but then by Summer they're either eaten or dried out maybe? I dunno. I know I can grow them indoors no problem but outside Grumbling

Does anyone sow perennials now instead of waiting until after the holidays?
