This is a tree growing in North Carolina but it has at the Zoo on the African side so it could be an African species. Any Ideals?

I wonder if it might be a variety of
Winterberry (
Ilex verticillata
)
?

The berries are in clusters and hang from branches. That may rule out Winterberry

You can't have too many viburnums..
And know that
Idesia polycarpa
is
dioecious
, making that a pistillate specimen.
