Do mosquitos breed in the winter? Doesn't seem like a gardening question but I have planted winter seeds in very large containers. I have also bought a turkey baster to remove excess water from the saucers in the summer for this reason. I don't have to worry about soggy roots at this point but I also don't want to provide a breeding ground. Any help would be appreciated.

Bummer. Not what I wanted to see. I'd better start thinking of this year's plan of attack.
