I read a comment the other day that collecting seed packets and growing seeds are two separate hobbies. Does that apply to you?

I buy seeds with every intention of planting them; if they become a "collection" it's usually because I forgot to get them in the ground. So I guess seeds are not my hobby at all...they are simply a means to an end. I had a friend who avidly collected seeds simply for the joy of observing their forms, colors, etc. She had books of them, and it was very interesting to see the variations. But I have to confess, all I could think of was what great plants they would've made..
I am not "country" I am "landed gentry."
