This was one of the first daylilies I bought after discovering the AHS in the mid 80's. It was always a healthy plant, and grew well, but it almost always had one stiff petal which wouldn't open out completely. This probably wouldn't be a problem in an inland garden with warmer nights. I loved the color though, so I kept it. At some point it met it's demise at the hand of a gopher.

Ruffled Apricot has been a faithful friend for over 20 years. A reliable bloomer, she consistently gives a great display.

She glows in golden splendour. Thumb of 2020-01-22/HemNorth/b1d74e

But at times she can get frazzled at the end of a scorching day. Thumb of 2020-01-22/HemNorth/fcb793

This daylily was here when we moved in and never fails to increase and clump. I don't have many pics and this one isn't completely open.

I've had Ruffled Apricot since 2015. While I love the flowers I can't say that it has performed well in my garden. So far it has only bloomed every other year for me. To be fair it is planted in a bed under a tree so it has a lot of root competition and not as much sun as it would probably like. However, several other cultivars are in the same bed and manage to bloom every year. I imagine it would do much better in another location but I'm not inclined to move it to a prime spot as I like the color better in the shade (more apricot than gold).

I have had Ruffled Apricot for many years in my fence bed. It does really well despite lots of afternoon shade and competition. Last summer, I dug that whole bed up and redistributed the fans so it will be interesting to see how RA does.

I don't have any individual flower shots, maybe next summer. That's RA behind Chicago Apache, other flowers showing are Demetrius, Darius, Vera Biaglow and Bama Music,

This one came with the house when we moved. It has increased considerably and has consistently great blooms, but it's just not my favorite color. Shrug!
