Hey everyone!

I purchased this string of hearts half a year ago, it has been growing really well but the newest leaves are a bit different from the "store leaves".

Here are two pictures:

As you can see the new leaves are smaller and they are a bit zigzag-y around the edges. Is this normal? I have seen a lot of beautiful pictures of SOH-s but I have not seen leaves like these. I have it in an east facing window, gets direct sun for 5-6 hours a day and I water it weekly (the soil dries pretty quickly).

Thank you for your help!

It is hard to tell from the photo just how much light it is getting, but the small leaves and the increased distance of the stems between the leaves both suggest that it has not been getting as much light as it did before you got it.

Try to improve the light. The longest stems can be pruned back and that should trigger new growth that will be larger if the light is improved.

Thank you Will!

It gets around 5-6 hours of direct sun. I'm a bit confused to be honest, because I thought that the purple-ish undersides of the leaves indicate that it gets enough light. (The older leaves have green undersides) I'll try to improve the lighting conditions, thank you for your advice!
