@sallysmom, the double Iin your first pic; is that the one named aurantius plenus? I have these in my backyard; they were here when I moved to this house. The last several years they didn't open well, but this year they are glorious.

Similar to our summer in Arkansas. Temps in the range of 80-100, humidity about the same as yours. It's the humidity that makes a person miserable. I thought Israel was very dry. You are by the sea? That would explain the humidity.

It is no rain here in summer but due to the mountains, humidity is very dependent how close you live to the sea or any low part of the country. You can have over 90% humidity in Tel Aviv (close to the sea), about 70% at Modiin ( about 1000 feet high), about 50% in Jerusalem(2000 feet) , but only 20% at Maale Adumim ( almost same height as Jerusalem, less that 7 miles difference but winds blowing from a different directions).
On other hand , you can have in Tveria or on Jordan river settlements humility over 90% (with over 105 F temperatures) because they are located in a very low place (about -600 feet under the sea level), therefore there is no wind there and air is just "standing".
although it is a small country, it is very different, You can today can play with snow in Hermon , they drive about 200 miles to the south and "swim" in a dead sea.I was at a dead sea 2 month ago , with a short t-shirt (90 F temperature), and after 2 yours (30 mile difference) I was freezing in Jerusalem (40 F temperature)..
winter is over, everything is blooming now outside
I took thous wild flower pictures outside when I was walking from a bus to my home, just few hundred feet free space between 2 roads, a nature in its best.
in 2 weeks(3 weeks maximum) everything will be gone, all green will be yellow and brown.
March it is the best time to visit my country, everything is blooming and green and outside temperatures are the best (not freezing cold, and not hot and hum idle like hell).
