Bought Buzz Saw as a single fan in 2018. 2019 it finished the season as a triple fan, also bloomed from July 28 to Aug 7.2019. The first couple of blooms where completely yellow but the rest where cream and yellow. It is difficult to evaluate when it is only going into it's second full year here. I feel that it has potential and will play the wait and see game.

I received Buzz Saw in 2016. It bloomed for me the next year but then skipped 2018 (very rainy year). It did bloom for me last year. The flowers always appear white to me with a nice toothy yellow border. However, I can't say it has been a good bloomer. The first year it bloomed I got four flowers and last year I had five. BS only bloomed from July 14-July 26 last year. This surprised me since most of my daylilies bloomed very well in 2019 due to the previous year's rainfall. It is planted in a small bed with other daylilies in a good location so I don't think that is the problem.

I'm not optimistic that it will do a whole lot better in the future. I also have Marque Moon which is very similar. That cultivar is far superior in my opinion and is one that I would happily recommend. Maybe Buzz Saw does better in a warmer climate?

Buzz Saw was new to me last year as bonus plant. It started out a pale yellow and it's substance held up well in our heat. I actually am not a fan of off white daylilies so the pale yellow was fine with me. The substance held up well in our heat, which is a decided plus. The edge while not huge was well formed and a pretty accent to the base flower. All in all it deserves another years evaluation.........Maryl

Buzz Saw was in my garden for a number of years it never did very well, so it was removed and replaced with another daylily.

That's interesting, I was thinking that it might do better in a colder climate, considering the parentage. Here, it makes small fans, and short scapes with about 10 buds, and doesn't bloom every year. The flowers were OK, but overall, it seems to be an under-performing plant.
