Hiya all!
I'm just after the name & identification of this cactus.... My husband & I have had this beauty for quite a while now, and my husband has even taken a few arms off to practice grafting. It is a fast growing cactus and the spines are lethal!

It is a little on the spiny side for A. subulata, but has the overall look of it. Most regular chollas tend to have shorter sections.

Their young growth is vastly different though.. a lot more spiny, and a lot less leafy...

Thank you to everyone who posted! I've had a look at the subulata plants and I can see a striking resemblance. I can see that there are different species within that opuntia range. Thank you for pointing me in the right direction. 👍👍
