I really need to know what these plants are called by real growers. One of these arrived at my house some time ago and it has been like a bunny. I now have about 15 of these and have no clue what they are called or how to care for them. I was told by someone who I am sure does not know for sure, that they called them" Birds Nest Snake Plants". Please direct me to the best place to learn more about these little creatures and give me an accurate name. I can't find them in the Database since I do not know their name. Thanks in advance.

Hi JB, your lovely succulent plants are all varieties of Sansevieria but I'm not familiar enough with all the varieties to offer exact species/cultivar ID's. Here's our database page with numerous listings and photos: https://garden.org/plants/sear...

Hopefully someone more knowledgeable will be able to offer exact ID's.

What amazes me is that they all came from one plant. Do they usually have one plant give off more than one variety?

Thank you @Plantladylin.

Hi JB, there is a thread in the Houseplants forum that is all about sansevierias (snake plant). It has amazing info and pictures. Here is the link:

Hello JB,
Your plants are all clones of the same plant, so are genetically identical. (Of course there are exceptions to this, but they are rare.) Each plant will look a little different, depending on the individual conditions it has encountered, but they are basically all the same plant--some sort of Sansevieria.
They are clearly very happy with the conditions you're providing, they look great. They should continue to grow and reproduce themselves. It looks like you've removed each offset and given it its own pot. They can also be left to grow as a small clump of several plants in one larger pot, I like the way they look that way too.
I suggest you share and donate your extras, before they totally take over your house!
