Hiya all,

Now, I did state in my title that I thought these plants are a tuba variety (Please correct me if I'm wrong, and/or wrong sp.)
My neighbour is moving out and gave me these as they were dying in her backyard.

I'm not too sure what they are.
I had them soaking in a little water to get them back up & running.
I'm not sure where to plant them... shade? Sun? ( they were in full sun in my neighbour's backyard).
Thank you in advance to the replies!
Also, do they flower?

Kind regards
🌿☺️🌿

They appear to be iris. Iris do flower. Full sun. I cannot tell for sure. But I suspect there might me some iris borer activity on the third pic

The spelling is "tuber".
And I agree, bearded iris aka "German iris".

iris germanica are not a good choice to leave soaking in a tub of water... Better too dry than too wet...

And... A well draining soil with the tubers on top of the soil and the roots covered is the usual planting method.
In sun to part sun.

Thank you so much for your help!!
I'm so glad you could identify the plants, especially as it does flower!
Now I can look them up to see the flowers!
I'm also glad that you told me about not sitting them in water. I noticed when I took them out to photograph that they were slimy & smelly. I rinsed them well and left them in a dry container.

Should I get them in soil ASAP?

Thank you
☺️✨☺️✨

Yes, plant them as soon as you can in a well drained area.
