Another Gossard daylily that outperforms in my garden! THis daylily is beautiful and quite sunfast. It grows quickly and forms a nice clump. The flowers are just as beautiful as shown above. It is both pod and pollen fertile in my garden.

Solid performance. Attractive, but some pictures may exaggerate the bluish purple tones.

Smoke Scream grows well here, the color and intensity as well as bloom size seems to depend on the type of summer we are having. It has had a rough time the last two years, we have been in a major drought and we are on a well and cannot water a lot. It is still hanging in there but looking pretty dull in color and size. When we had good growing years it was a very showy bloom. Fertile and depending on temp it could range from pink/purple to deep purple. Love it.

I've had Smoke Scream for a number of years and it has always performed well. It is one of my favourite dips. Never disappoints.

Smoke Scream does well here. always blooms, easy parent both ways and puts up with my neglect! Drought tolerant and still grows strong. I love the unique looking blooms! A terrific garden plant and truly a favorite.

Smoke Scream has been in my garden since '14. It grows to 36" high here with a good bud count of 17 on 3 way branching for about two weeks end of July. It does not lean as do some tall dips. It is not one of my favs because of the coloring but it is a good grower

I planted Smoke Scream in May of 2021. It didn't do anything much that season, beyond staying alive. By Spring it had added a fan. This Summer, I had bloom from July 3-20, with about 20 flowers. By October, SS was still at 3 fans and had contracted a moderate case of rust. I do love the bloom so much, it's definitely one of the cooler purples out there.

I received Smoke Scream as a replacement plant in an order from a northern grower as she was out of one of the plants I wanted. Unfortunately, it did not do at all well here and struggled as soon as it was planted. It seems to be one of those dormants that prefers a colder climate. I eventually dug it up and sent it to a friend up north, but I'm not sure it survived as there was not much left of it. It never bloomed, so I don't have any pictures.

2023 update…a bad year for Smoke Sceam, very little bloom. It bloomed between June 21 to July 19 but I only caught 6 flowers. However, it did put on another fan to end at four by October.
