Color is more pinkish than some pics suggest. Hasn't been great here, but it probably depends on the winter. I know it is quite popular; I think there are better reds for this zone. Growth has always been stunted here, but it's endured some awful winters.

This one did not make it past the first Winter. Never saw it bloom. I really wanted to cross it with Forever Redeemed, but never got the chance.

I won this one from Breeze on the Lily Auction in 2017 and it has bloomed every year since. It is in the worst spot in the yard, shaded by azaleas. Nothing else thrives in that area. I like the saturation and richness of the color, but it's a bit short. It's a keeper simply because it blooms consistently every year without much fanfare.

I have had mine a couple of years, love the color of it, but it is really short. Not close to the 30" it is supposed to be, more like 20". It has not lived up to its bud count, but it blooms better than average. Mine is a nice, rich red, but is heavily shaded by taller baptista, maybe that is why?

'Insider Trading" seems like an unusual name for such a beautiful daylily.

I would think "Bloody Massacre" might be better.

Insider Trading does well here despite the competition from nearby plants.

Insider trading was planted Spring of 2022. It turned around and bloomed July 9-23 with 11 flowers. By October, it was at 5 fans. I sure hope this one gets through the winter! It's cute!

I have had Insider Trading since the fall of 2021, and it has been a winner here. I bought it on Brian Reeder's recommendation as I was looking for rust-resistant daylilies, and it has been that and more in its first growing season. As for rust, it has not shown a speck of it so far. In addition, it seems to love my garden, blooming beautifully starting in late May and putting out lots of proliferations, some of which I potted up and then planted next to the parent plant.

The blooms are gorgeous. I notice that several posters above complained that it did not reach its registered height. I don't think it did here, either, although I did not measure. To the best of my recollection, it was about 26", but that may improve as it settles in. I love this one and recommend it for those in the South.

2023 update… IT bloomed from July 6-28, with 17 blooms counted. By October, it had added a fan to end at 6 fans. The flower is short, probably 20" and it gets plenty of sun, so not really sure if that's a thing that happens in Northern gardens. As in, not meeting it's registration height…
