Hi guys and gals!
I have this jade cutting that was given to me and I'm having a terrible time figuring out EXACTLY what it is. Part of me thought that it would grow upright, but I'm starting to think it needs to be able to trail now that it is continuing to grow taller and taller each week.

I'm not sure what kind of succulent you have either but I can eliminate one choice. Its not a Jade plant (Crassula ovata). Smiling

I agree it does look different from a Crassula ovata.

There is another succulent..cotyledon something...sorry can't remember the name..but it looks like it.

I don't know what to call your plant, but if it seems to be in danger of getting lanky, dial up the light. As much natural light as you possibly can provide if the plant will be indoors. Like right in front of your sunniest southerly-facing window.
