Hi. I broadcast a bunch of seeds, Spinach, Chard, Bok Choy and only the Chard came up, so I did it again. The last seeding was a bit over three weeks ago. Chard is doing fine considering I am in San Francisco and there is little sun, and plenty of snails. Between the Chard plants there is a zillion of starters , but are they edible? I am attaching two photos of the area in question. Are these smaller plants Spinach? I would take this to a garden shop here in SF, but nobody knows a thing... Thanks, Mike Thumb of 2012-09-01/putitupmike/6e5fe7

It looks like chickweed to me too! Look for tiny white flowers.

Yep, this grows in my garden, too. It's everywhere. I don't know about eating it, but I know it's hard to get rid of it.
