I didn't think that Damons Gardens would have it available. It wasn't when I placed my order back in January. Thank you for this post because I snatched one up real quick all by itself!!!
Richard,
Fantastic! And funny how I did the exact same thing. Hope they don't get our orders mixed up, why you might get Kilt Lilt and I........ oh never mind!
Richard
Calling on all Richard's out there on garden.org, place your order for Kilt Lilt, there's a limited quantity available so don't hesitate.
Do you think Julie Damon might give me a commission for advertising her site? But seriously, I hope she, and Tom and all the other Wisconsinites (cheese heads?) are doing well. Pictures of folks standing in lines at the polling stations was surreal and sad to see the other day. Can't we all just get along and do the right thing for the country and stop endangering lives unnecessarily? I guess the answer is no? If only I could waive a magic wand and rid our society of 24/7 cable news and opinion shows and 'talk radio' shows back to something more simplistic like in the movie Pleasantville. I remember back in the days when Politicians from both parties would go out for drinks at night, tell jokes and compromise. But the advent of these media shows has put an end to civil discourse, and even in a pandemic the caustic toxicity flows from partisans on both sides.
and this is the only one in bloom right now. NoID #1 Purple/White Plicata
This planted all over my place. I have it blooming in 4 of the 5 planting spots. I one bed that is 18 feet long that will explode with blooms real SOON!!!!
Wow, how unbelievable and awesome when the blooms start to arrive! You will be the envy of Oklahoma! Do post photos when you get a chance later this spring.
Unfortunately, we live on a very small plot of land, so my iris OCD can't be fully realized due to the limitations. But my wife has been a really good sport allowing me to transform the front yard into an iris patch, surrounding a newly acquired Persimmon tree.
Is it just me or does the rest of the peanut gallery look eagerly forward to your Oklahoma Onslaught of Iris beauties?
I'm not sure. I do have 37 with stalks up. 33 of them I'm dragging onto my covered patio for the next three nights due to freezing temps coming in in the afternoon. The ones in the ground will have to fend for themselves!!!
