What kind of plant is this? in the Plant ID forum

Hi there,

Trying to figure out what this plant is. Bought it 3 years ago at a grocery store, but lost the tag for it. Beautiful plants, grows very quickly. I have even tried multiple plant identification apps, and none of them have worked.

It's a well grown Ficus.

I think it's microcarpa . It's big enough in the pot that you could repot it into a bigger pot. Just don't disturb the roots and add new soil around them in the new pot. Or not, you decide.

I don't think it's Avocado (Persea americana) or Chinese Banyan (Ficus microcarpa) I agree with Iochroma, it looks more like Shoebutton Ardisia (Ardisia elliptica) which used to be sold in the houseplant section of big box stores.
