I am inundated with this weed. It get a yellow flower in the spring. The base is somewhat orange. It is kind of pretty but gets unsightly later in the summer. My fear is it is taking over. And i moved some ferns to a bank last yr and now i have these weeds everywhere. I think I will have to dig them out soon before the ferns appear. Any idea what they are? I live in NE PA.

I googled that and that isn't it either. Both suggestions are prettier than what this is. I might have to wait until it flowers and then post another image. Thanks for your suggestions tho.

Your new photo doesn't enlarge. Can you try again with a larger photo?

It could be. If you break the plant off at the base, it is orange. I am trying to find out if that is the case with the wild cabbages. I will keep investigating. Thanks.
I checked out those photos. In person the plant is somewhat different. I have one that has buds on it and it should bloom soon. I will take a photo then. Thanks for all your input.
Well whatever it is i will be digging tons of them in my near future. Because they are taking over. I might have had a dozen in this area last yr. Now i might have twice that. Since we are all staying home, it will give me something to do!

Great photo! It looks so familiar. Can you take a better photo of a flower and, in a few days, a photo of a seed pod?
